Gyro VSAT (For Maritime)
VSAT technology is used for two-way satellite communications for Internet, data and telephony, typically in rural areas and harsh environments – in our case, in maritime environments.
Normally VSAT solutions in the maritime market are delivered as a package, including satellite space segment, equipment and phone and internet services.
VSAT services historically have operated at Ku-band and C-band for the commercial market, using satellites located at the GEO orbital location. Due to the location of the satellites in combination with the movement of vessels, stabilised antennas with tracking are required. A stabilised maritime VSAT antenna typically has a circular antenna (often concealed within a dome) that is 2.4 metres or smaller in diameter.
Data rates typically range from 64 Kbps up to 8 Mbps, but lower and much higher data rates are available.
VSAT with high-level satellite technology designed to reach areas where signal is difficult or cannot be reached by fiber cable, radio, and GSM.
1. Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency broadband internet worldwide. Within each coverage area, orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. KU Band has a frequency range of 11.7-12.2 GHz for communication from satellites to receivers on earth (downlink). 14.0-14.5 GHz for communication from receivers on the ground to the satellite (uplink).
3. KA Bandis the most up-to-date VSAT technology compared to KU Band or C Band. The KA Band has a frequency range of 26.5–40 GHz, and a wavelength range of 5.0–11.3 mm.
4. C band operates large antennas (minimum 1.8 meters in diameter) with a frequency range of 3.7 – 4.2 GHz for communication from satellites to receivers on earth (downlink), and 5.9 – 6.4 GHz for communications from receivers on earth to satellites (uplink).
Fusion Server combines the open-source search engine Apache Solr with the distributed power of Apache Spark for artificial intelligence. Highly scalable, Fusion Server indexes and stores data for real-time discovery. The types of cards accepted by Google services vary by location and product.
